Heartening and praise worthy
demanding special thanks giving to the Lord is the ever increasing
number of persons being baptized and added to each of our branch
churches, the proof of the Lord’s continuing work and presence in
the Branch ministries.
Quite a few of these branches, have shown significant growth both
in growing numbers, besides the expanding spiritual activities,
they have been a great source of blessing to believers and well
wishers living in the vicinity. Vibrancy in the evangelical front
can be seen in these branches. They are embarked on ministries
like cottage meetings, open air preaching, tract distribution,
hospital visiting and many such means to extend the kingdom of
God.
Sunday services, Bible studies, Holy Spirit receiving meetings,
fasting prayers, special meetings and the like have been regularly
held in these branches to edify the body of Christ. Month after
month they regularly take part in the Workers Fellowship Meetings,
a display of unity and oneness in the Lord lending solidity to the
Main Church. |

Prayer Ministry |
|
|
"A praying church is a growing Church" goes the adage. The founder
Pastor G.Sundaram and the present leader Pastor.M.K.Sam Sundaram
have always laid tremendous emphasis on prayer. Even today,
fasting prayer is held for the Church and its sanctification three
days before the Communion Sunday. Often "Special Prayer Days" are
identified on public holidays and Pastor. Sam Sundaram leads the
congregation in an exclusive to be on their knees for petitioning
the Lord for the growth and sanctification of the Church ministry
and for their own personal needs. |

24 Hours Chain
Prayer |
|
|
Chain prayer is the lifeline of a growing congregation. During the
year 2002, Pastor. Sam Sundaram initiated and encouraged the
formal and systematic organizing of the 24 hour chain prayer in
the main assembly. Under his guidance, the vision he had for a
veritable POWER ROOM, has become a reality. Brothers and sisters
more than 5500 of them - have registered their time-preference and
are present in the special prayer rooms (situated in the first
floor, just above the pulpit) to pour out their hearts to the Lord
for the Church, its ministers and the numerous prayer requests
that keep flooding in. Several ntioning the miracles and
deliverances that the people have experienced through requesting
the prayer room. The requests come from members, believers from
other places and several who are not in the faith, many of them
not even Christians. |

Prayer Cells |
|
|
With the growth in the congregation and the believers spread out
over a wide geographical area, Pastor.Sam Sundaram has been
encouraging formation of Prayer cells in various locations, which
serve as points, where the believers in the neighbourhood could
rally, whenever there is need for spiritual help, prayer etc.
These have taken root well in the year under review, with more
than a few hundred of them active. The benefits derived by the
local believers and others who seek their help in prayer and
counselling has been very encouraging. Pastor.Sam Sundaram
organizes meets for the Prayer Cell leaders to counsel them, guide
them, motivate them and strength them for these special tasks. His
vision is that it is these micro groups which would be leading in
evangelisation and Church growth in the next phase, even as the
Lord's coming draws nigh, much more than the formal crusades,
conventions, public meetings etc. We need to pray and support all
these Prayer Cells and the persons who shoulder this
responsibility. |

Children's Ministry |
|
|
Well over 1500 Children attend the Sunday school enthusiastically
every week. Action songs and lively skits are some of the methods
employed to drive home valuable and practical spiritual inputs to
make the lives of these children reflect victorious Christian
living. They are encouraged to love the Lord and lead their young
lives focusing unto Jesus. Various classes segregated age wise and
language wise enables app
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a
regular event every summer, which is usually held for 10 days
during April/May 2002. This year 650 children took part, many
accepted the Lord as their personal saviour and 125 children
received the anointing of Holy Spirit. |

Youth Ministry |
|
|
Vibrancy of the youth marks out any organization and ACA is no
exception to this. Youth Fellowship Meetings, City Outreach
Ministries and Rural Outreach Ministries during weekends are but
some of the regular activities. These afford ample opportunities
to many young brothers to use and hone their God-given talents and
skills to effectively communicate the good news to the needy
around.
Good news center in slum areas where a number of children are
reached on Sundays is another activity of the youth. Teams use
these to teach the children songs and spiritual stories and
verses.
The explosive teens - the formative years handled with wisdom and
God’s grace can make the young men and women of substance in the
years that unfold before them. Teen ministries have been clearly
focused with special seminars and teen festivals for the members
and non-members children. These have helped to guide and mould
them at |

Young Girls Ministry |
|
|
Dedicated leaders train the young girls in regular meetings
conducted on second Saturdays. They encourage them to be a witness
in their own families, among their friends, taught the love of
Jesus and to wait upon the Lord for their future life. Quiz
programme, skits, competitions are held and many participate. This
has helped many young girls to use their God-given talents in
sharing the good news of Jesus to those who live in slums and
their neighbourhood. |

Mother's Ministry |
|
|
Mother’s ministry focus on hospital visit, monthly fasting and
prayer and counsel for destitute and depressed. Many who miss the
Sunday service are able to attend and receive the Lord’s blessing
in fasting and prayer meetings held on last Friday of the month.
Groups of sisters visit the sick in hospital and prove to be great
strength and consolation to the oppressed and afflicted ones.
Prayer meetings held in homes give opportunity to senior sisters
to share the word and effectively pray for the participants. |

Audio, Video &
Literature Ministries |
|
|
Messages in Audio and Videocassettes are made available for
distribution as an extension of the ministry from the pulpit, to
effectively reach many who do not have the privilege and
convenience of being present in the services.
Divine messages of our Pastors, numerous testimonies, messages in
special meetings held for students, youth, teens etc are brought
out in print in the pages of “Herald of Deliverance” (church’s
monthly magazine) and several book titles. This has gladdened many
a heart in numerous homes. Many old and inform who are unable to
attend the services and many others in other states and countries
have been abundantly blessed by these anointed messages. |
|
Cyber Ministry |
|
|
Our church, which has one of the biggest congregations in India,
has decided to purse this futuristic medium for the edification of
our believers who are situated in various parts of India/abroad
due to occupational and other constraints. The weekly messages
delivered in the Church by Pastor are uploaded the same day so
that those who do not have the privilege of living in Chennai or
attending the service could benefit. Records show that many from
far-off places from with the country and overseas have been
visiting the site and getting blessed. Several prayer requests
received through this mode are also routed to the "Power Room" for
constant intercession. |
